Modal Auxiliary Verbs

• compulsion. ഇത് പോലുള്ളത് പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കാനാണ് modal auxiliary verbs ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് 

modal auxiliary verbs are 

• can, 
• could, 
• may, 
• might, 
• must, 
• ought to, 
• shall, 
• should, 
• will, 
• would ,
• need and 
•  used to (need can also be a main verb). 

ഒരേ auxiliary verb കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ഇവയിൽ വ്യത്യസ്ത ആശയങ്ങൾ പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കും 

For example, we can use ‘can’ to talk about ability and possibility.

They have no -s in the 3rd person singular.

• He can play football.(not He can plays football)
• They can play football

Use first form of the main verb in modals (active voice)

• Modals+v1

active voice ൽ modal നൊപ്പം verb ന്റെ v1 form മാത്രമേ ഉപയോഗിക്കാവൂ
