“ആദിവാസിഭൂമി'യെന്ന് വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ധാതുസംസ്ഥാന'വുമാണ്. ബിഹാറിൻറതെക്കൻ ജില്ലകൾ ചേർത്ത് രുപവത്കരിച്ച സംസ്ഥാനം. വനാഞ്ചൽ എന്നും അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. രാജ്യത്തെ ആദ്യത്തെ ആസൂ ' ത്രിത വ്യവസായ നഗരമാണ് ജാംഷഡ്പുർ. 2 പ്രധാന ഭാഷ: ഹിന്ദി.  പ്രധാന നദികൾ: ദാമോദർ, സുബർണരേഖ, സംഘ് ഇരുമ്പയിര്, ഗ്രാ ഫൈറ്റ്, കൽക്കരി തുടങ്ങിയ ധാതു ക്കളുടെ നിക്ഷേപം കൊണ്ട് സമ്പന്നമാണ് ഈ സംസ്ഥാനം. ഖനികളുടെ നഗരമെന്ന് അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ധൻബാദ് വ്യവസായത്തിനു പേരുകേട്ടതാണ്. ബൊക്കാറോ സ്റ്റീൽ പ്ലാൻറ് രാജ്യത്തെ വലിയ പൊതുമേഖലാ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്.

റാഞ്ചിക്കടുത്ത് പ്രസിദ്ധമായ സൂര്യക്ഷേത മുണ്ട്. നാങ്കിനി, സത്സംഗ്, പരസ്നാഥ് എന്നി വയാണ് മറ്റു പ്രധാന ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ. ദാമോദർ താഴ്വരയിലുള്ള ഹസാരിബാഗും സന്ദർശകരെ ആകർഷിക്കുന്നു. ചരിത്രം പതിമൂന്നാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ ഒഡീഷ ഭരണാ ധികാരിയായിരുന്ന രാജാ ജയ്സിങ് ദേവ് ജാർഖണ്ഡ് പ്രദേശത്തിന്റെ രാജാവായി സ്വയം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. - ,

2000 നവംബർ 15ന് ജാർഖണ്ഡ് സംസ്ഥാനം രൂപീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ബിഹാർ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ വിഭജിച്ചാണ്  ജാർഖണ്ഡിനു രൂപം നൽകിയത്. വനാ ഞ്ചൽ എന്നു ജാർഖണ്ഡ് അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. ഹനാപാൽ പുർ: ഇവിടെ അശോകന്റെ കാലത്തു പണികഴിപ്പിച്ച കെട്ടിടങ്ങളും ശില്പങ്ങളും ഉണ്ട്. അശോകന്റെ ഒരു പ്രതിമയും ഇവിടെയുണ്ട്.

ധൻബാദ്: ഇന്ത്യയിലെ കൽക്കരി ഖനികളുടെ നാടാണു ധൻബാദ്. ബിർസ മുണ്ട പാർക്ക്, ടോപ് ചാഞ്ചി തടാകം, ചാരിയ കൽക്കരി ഖനികൾ എന്നിവ ഇവിടെയുണ്ട്.

ദിയോഖർ: 22 ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളുടെ 1 സമുച്ചയമാണ്. 72 അടി ഉയരമുള്ള ഈ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ വൈദ്യനാഥന്റേതാണ്.

മഹേന്ദ്രസിങ് ധോണി: ഇന്ത്യൻ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ടീമിന്റെ ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ ആണ്. 1981 ൽ റാഞ്ചി യിൽ ജനിച്ചു. ജംഷഡ്പുർ: ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ആദ്യ

ത്തെ ആസൂത്രിത വ്യവസായ നഗരമാണ് ജംഷഡ്പൂർ; സ്ഥാ പിച്ചത്, 1907ൽ.

റാഞ്ചി: ജാർഖണ്ഡിന്റെ തലസ്ഥാന നഗരി. ഇവിടെ പ്രശസ്തമായ ജഗ ന്നാഥ ക്ഷേത്രമുണ്ട്. ജോനഹ വെള്ള ച്ചാട്ടം, പഞ്ച് ഗാഹ് വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം, റാഞ്ചി തടാകം, കാൺകെ അണക്കെട്ട്, നക്ഷ തവനം എന്നിവ റാഞ്ചിയെ വിനോദസ ഞ്ചാരികൾക്കു പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടതാക്കുന്നു.

ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും ധാതുസമ്പന്നമായ സംസ്ഥാനമാണ് ജാർഖണ്ഡ്. കൽക്കരി, ഇരുമ്പയിര്, ചെമ്പയി ര്, ബോക്സൈറ്റ്, പൈറൈറ്റ്,

ന് കളിമണ്ണ്, ഗ്രാഫൈറ്റ്, ക്വാർട്സ്, സിലിക്ക, ജോളോ

മൈറ്റ് എന്നിവ ഇവിടെ കാണപ്പെടുന്നു.
